Sean Alventosa, 3rd Year Medical Student and Cornell Alumnus

Sean Alventosa grew up in Stony Brook, New York and graduated from Cornell University in May 2018. During his two gap years, he worked as a medical scribe in a local Emergency Department, participated in the Bridge Gap Year Program where he volunteered in the Oncology Unit and completed research with Dr. Yanagihara, Radiation Oncology. Sean was accepted to the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine Class of 2024 as an Abigail Geisinger Scholar. He is currently in his 3rd year of medical school, with interests in Family Medicine and Global Health. Outside of the classroom, Sean plays in a band, is an avid reader, and enjoys running in his free time. He completed the 2021 Philadelphia Marathon and will be running the Pittsburgh Marathon in May of 2023.
