Alanna Perlin

Alanna Perlin is an MS3 student in the MD/MPH program at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. She is originally from Staten Island, NY and completed a bachelors' degree in biological sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. After college, she pursued a masters' degree in biomedical sciences from Duke University's School of Medicine. At Miller, Alanna is student government secretary, Women in Medicine vice president, campus liaison for the Wellness Advisory Council. In the past, she helped run a student-led weekly clinic, headed a peer-to-peer teaching program, and was an admissions ambassador. She plans to pursue family medicine after finding that meaningful relationships with patients can serve as some of the best medicine.
